Coalition of the willing?

The White House argues we have a "coalition of the willing," which sounds to me like a few arms had to be twisted first. Some skeptics here and abroad quickly labeled our coalition for killing a "coalition of the billing," for all of the billions the United States was offering to Turkey and others if only they would join in. At least one British peace marcher carried a sign that denounced Bush's "coalition of the shilling." Some claim this war is sponsored by the "coalition of the drilling" a.k.a. US oil companies. Perhaps someday soon the war will end and we can form a new coalition for the healing. Not shocking. Just awesome. PS: Inspired by a recent article in Chicago Tribune by Clarence Page

What is it in reality?

I protest Iraq war because:

Protesting War on Iraq means different things to different people. Some protest it as a matter of principle, some are against it because they think the Bush administration has prematurely aborted diplomacy and resigned to launching a war, while others say they protest it because they think it will cause more harm to our country over the long run than any peace and prosperity that these war proponents claim this war would bring to us. Some paranoids even claim that any American that protests against this impending war does so because (s)he is unpatriotic and may even have a soft spot for Saddam. So here is your chance to set the record straight!

I am protesting this war on Iraq because:

Dr. Blix Needs Your help

UN Chief Inspector Dr. Blix and Dr. ElBaradei are against the wall and probably could use your help. Dr. Blix repeated today, once again, that he needs "Actionable Intelligence." Even though Bush Administration has "clear" evidence that Saddam is hiding huge amounts of Weapons of Mass Destruction, it refuses to share any such intelligence on the grounds that doing so may compromise its sources. In light of this, I have tried to come up with a few possible "Alternative Sources" that could possibly provide Dr. Blix and his team the much needed "Actionable Intelligence." Would you please be kind enough to help select the most viable option out of the following? Thank you.

Since Bush Administration is unable to provide Dr. Bilx with the much needed "Actionable Intelligence," his next best option would be to:

Democratization of Iraq:

Recent comments by Pres. Bush, Sec. Powell, and Sec. Rumsfeld seem to suggest that Bush Administration would no longer be insisting on Democratization of Iraq -just the change of regime. Democracy in that part of the world is still, unfortunately, a foreign concept. Quite a few of the countries in that region - including Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Quatar, Kuwait and Pakistan to name a few -are run by either fanatics, autocrats, dictators or by warlords/generals. Apparently, looks like the Bush Administration has now realized that Democracy is not a microchip that can be mass-implanted soon after (possibly) getting rid of Saddam. Unless US is prepared to stay in Iraq for whatever time it takes (decades?) for democracy to take foothold in Iraq, "Democracy in Iraq" seems a distant dream -no matter how desirable.

Is the United States more likely to elect a Muslim President than Iraq is to become a truly democratic country within a foreseable future?

Primary Focus:

We in America face many challenges today. Terrorism, Economy, North Korean Missile crisis -to name a few. It is important, therefore, to prioritize and remain focused on the issues that matter the most. Hans Blix put it so plainly: We must be able to chew gum and drive at the same time.

I want Bush Administration to primarily focus on:

Who Gave Away the Barn?

The World was behind us 100% after the terrorist attacks on 911. Everyone throughout the World was outraged, sympathatic and was extending true support for America. We now have world opinion heavily mounted against us. How did the world sympathy and support evoparate away so quickly? Similarly, only a couple of years ago, we had a huge (_over Five Trillion Dollars_) surplus, the economy was great and it is now a history. American economy is nowhere near a comeback. The cost of impending wars, the cost of Nation Building that follows after we blow up those countries, and the deficits that are so rapidly piling up may soon add up to over a _Trillion Dollars_ if we continue along these slippery slopes. For many of our fellow Americans who have lost jobs and/or are so badly affected by this slump in US economy, it is back to singing "Too Much Month at the End of the Money..." Apparently, not only have we squandered away the world support, we have also depleted our piggy bank within a short time.
